Byres Road is taking part in Make Music Day - the world’s largest, annual celebration of music.
Bars, restaurants and even a supermarket will be hosting performances on June 21.
- The event will kick off at Embargo at 71-77 Byres Road where staff member Niamh Bloomer will be playing her harp between 2 – 3.30pm.
- Tesco Express at 300-304 Byres Road will be hosting a ceilidh band which includes a member of their team.
- Ubiquitous Chip on Ashton Lane will be hosting fiddlers on the roof on their Rooftop Terrace in the evening.
- And if the Scottish weather takes a turn for the worst, you can enjoy the string trio inside the Chip.
- Entertainment will continue in the evening at Tennents Bar at 191 Byres Road with familiar faces from the Glasgow busking scene - Daniel Ladds from 7pm and Johnny Boyd from 9pm.
- Adding to the evening entertainment, Embargo will be hosting a set from guitarist and singer Angus Riley from 8.30-10pm.
More acts are still to be announced, including an exciting set at The Alchemy Experiment on 157 Byres Road.

Make Music Day is the UK’s largest single-day music festival, encouraging musicians, producers, promoters and music lovers to collaborate and organise in person and online performances in and for their communities.
Thousands of free in person and online events will take place up and down the country over the course of the day.
John Turner is chair of Byres Road and the Lanes Business Improvement District, the organisation behind Visit West End.
He said: "We are very excited at being able to join in the celebrations for Make Music Day this year, and it is even more exciting to discover our own home-grown hidden musical talents in Byres Road and the Lanes.
'Joyful boost'
“Sadly, my own trumpet-playing days are long over, otherwise I would be sorely tempted to join in myself!”
He added: “After all the doom and gloom of recent months we could all do with the joyful boost that Make Music Day will bring.
“Come on down to Byres Road and the Lanes on the 21st June and join in all the fun! "
Paul Gudgin, co-director of Make Music Day UK, said: “Make Music Day was inspired by the Fete de la Musique where music happens anywhere and everywhere in towns and cities across France.
“We are delighted that Byres Road and Lanes will be bringing that spirit of spontaneous and joyful music making to Glasgow this month.

Since beginning as Fête de la Musique in France in 1982, Make Music Day has grown into a global phenomenon that takes place annually in 125 countries, always on 21 June.
Solo performers, groups and music creators of all types are invited to take part, regardless of age, ability or musical genre.
