Free hair training session will run in Maryhill next month

Glasgow dads are being shown how to get their child’s hair into ponytails.

Men often want to help their children to look good but sometimes don’t have the confidence or skills to help out.

The workshop event in Maryhill next month is the first of its kind held in Glasgow.

The free session has been organised by the charity Dads Rock.

Thomas Lynch from Dads Rock said: “Dads Rock runs a number of projects to help support dads to be confident, resilient dads, with strong relationships with their children.

'Confidence'

“We’re excited to hold Glasgow’s first ever dads' hairstyle workshop, our trained team will be on hand to guide dads and give them the confidence and experience they need.”

The workshop will show dads how to put their child's hair into ponytails, plaits and more.

The workshop is a free event.

Staff will be on hand to ensure dads leave with more confidence in styling hair as well as some basic information on how to look after long hair.

Parents are encouraged to come with their children, a hair brush and hair bobbles so they can practise themselves.

Dads Rock says it aims to improve outcomes for children in Scotland.
