Home Energy Scotland says it can help with saving energy, keeping warm at home, renewable energy and greener travel.

People living in the West End are being invited to a free sustainable living information event.

Home Energy Scotland says it can help with saving energy, keeping warm at home, renewable energy and greener travel.

The evening event is at Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel on Thursday November 14, 6pm – 8pm.

Learn about ways to keep warm in older homes, including options for installing different types of wall insulation, glazing and draught-proofing.

You can find out about interest free loans that are helping local homeowners make energy and money saving improvements to their home.

Also learn about Glasgow’s Low Emission Zone and how progress with electric vehicle charging infrastructure means options for flat owners.

A press release reads: "Having a warm home, improving comfort and reducing fuel bills are priorities for many homeowners in Scotland.

"Home Energy Scotland is hosting a free information event in the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel to talk householders through how they can do all of these things whilst also making their home more environmentally friendly.

"With climate change an immediate and urgent problem, and driving a car still an essential part of many people's everyday routines, speakers at the event will also be talking about greener travel options that not only lower carbon emissions but reduce travel costs and improve our health."
