The information session is open to all local residents and is being held at Maryhill Burgh Halls on Friday December 8.

The local elected representatives are appealing to the local community to come along and get the information they need to stay safe, warm and secure during the colder months.

Experts from a wide range of organisations will be on hand to give advice and answer any questions that people may have.

Residents will be able to speak to representatives from Maryhill Citizens Advice Bureau, Home Energy Scotland, Warm Works, SSE Energy, Age Scotland, Scottish Power and Scottish Gas, Community Safety Glasgow and many more.

Maryhill Housing Association and Cube Housing Association will also be there to offer advice on housing issues.

Free tea and coffee will be available, and there will even be a sneak peak at one of Scotland’s new Baby Boxes, which already started shipping out to all new born babies in August 2017.

'SPEAK TO THE EXPERTS'

Patrick Grady MP said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to know more about the options open to them this winter, to come along and speak directly to the experts.

"It’s so important to keep warm and safe during the dark and cold winter months, and this is a good chance to share good practise and help problem solve any issues people might be having.”

Bob Doris MSP added: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces to this event, and hope that people find the information on offer useful.

"It’s also just a great chance to meet fellow local residents, share a cup of tea and a biscuit, and, let’s not forget, have a look at the baby box too.”

The special winter surgery will be open to all local residents in Glasgow North from 09:30am-13:00pm on Friday 8th December, 2017.
