The fifth annual Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair is taking place within the grounds of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
The event this Saturday and Sunday promises to have something for everyone - serious collectors and first-time buyers alike.
The fair aims to open art up to all and to make original art accessible.
The creative talents of established and emerging painters, printmakers, sculptors and photographers will feature.
Works range from as little as £50 to over £20,000 in price.
Exhibitors include Subversion Gallery, Arteries, The Glasgow Gallery, Ron Lawson – West End Gallery and The Nine Muses (all Glasgow based), Robertson Fine Art (Edinburgh), Clifton Fine Art (Bristol), Walter Linder (Berlin) and online gallery Curious Egg among many more.
The full line up can be viewed online at www.gcaf.co.uk
Traditional portraiture sits happily alongside urban street art; abstract works will be on display beside seascapes and landscapes and the expected alongside the unexpected.
'Original art'
Gerry Muldoon, event organiser, said visitors will not be disappointed.
He said: “The GCAF is an opportunity for artists and galleries to exhibit and sell contemporary affordable and original art at a centrally-located venue.
"Visitors can expect to see a diverse range and variety of original art, prints, sculpture and photography.
"The event features established, celebrity, and emerging artists.
"A number of the works on display have been commissioned exclusively for the fair.
"During the course of the weekend, members of the public will have the exciting and rare opportunity to meet a number of the artists who will be in attendance."
