The Great Western rolls into town

Four West End venues will host the day-long event

Four great local venues are set to host The Great Western music and arts festival next month (Saturday Nov 4).

The day-long event has a packed line-up of local and Scottish bands as well as acts from further afield.

In its fourth year, organisers promise a day of “musical exploration and discovery across a range of handpicked spaces in the West End”.

The venues include: Maryhill Community Central Halls, The Hug and Pint, Mackintosh Queen’s Cross Church and The Piping Centre Otago Street.

Return

The acts include: London Post-Punks Warmduscher - who finally return to The Great Western following their forced cancellation in 2019 - Forest Swords, LYNKS and Chubby and The Gang.

We can't wait to see Great Western Road packed once more with music-hungry fans looking to discover their new favourite artists and look forward to seeing you all in November.

Daniel Mutch

Festival Organiser Daniel Mutch said: “We are delighted to bring The Great Western back to the West End in November and have worked really hard to pack the 2023 edition with what we feel are some of the most dynamic and exciting artists on the live circuit at the moment.

“From the long awaited festival return of Warmduscher to the trailblazing Queer-Pop Icon LYNKS, with a strong emphasis on local talent too.
