Partick garden shop expands its Christmas range

New shop on Peel Street now has trees, decorations and lights for the festive season

Martin McCarron is giving people in the West End every reason to shop local this Christmas.

His West End Garden Centre is now stocking everything you need to make your home look good this winter.

The centre’s new shop on Peel Street has decorations, lights and indoor trees for the festive season.

It means people heading to West of Scotland Cricket Ground to purchase a real tree can also now buy what they need to dress their fir.

'Excited'

Martin said: “We are really excited to be offering a full range of Christmas decorations for the first time. The centre is now a one-stop shop for trees, lights and decorations for the home.

“We always said the new shop would make us a proper garden centre, and now we can say the same at Christmas with the range of products we can offer.

“Again, we will have a fantastic selection of real Scottish Christmas trees, and now we can offer people the decorations to go with them.”

Martin’s new shop, which opened earlier this year, has expanded the range of products the centre is able to offer, such as indoor plants and pots.

Ahead of Christmas, the space has been transformed into a grotto of light, with baskets and shelves displaying baubles and festive trappings. And much of the stock has been individually-sourced from suppliers in Europe.

Martin said: “A lot of these decorations are not readily found elsewhere. We wanted different stock and the shop to have a lovely quality about it.

“We are also presenting what we have differently. We want the shop to look good and for customers to feel they are stepping into somewhere special.”

Martin will be offering an exceptional range of real Scottish trees when deliveries arrive at the end of November.

His main sellers are Nordmann Firs and Fraser Firs, which come freshly cut or in pots, and start from £39.99. A big incentive is free delivery on all his trees.

Martin said: “We really hope people in the West End will shop local this Christmas. In addition to the Christmas stock, people can enjoy a range of hot and seasonal drinks from the cafe bar.”
