Celtic Football Club is to stage the second Lisbon Lions Trophy event this week at its Lennoxtown Training Ground.
The announcement has delighted Hyndland Secondary school which instigated the inaugural schools cup last year.
The idea came from teacher Paul Downie, who approached the club to mark the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions of 1967.
The tournament sees the football club joining forces with the Glasgow Schools’ Football Association and Hyndland Secondary School.
This year the event brought together 16 schools and 200 pupils from across the West of Scotland.
The preliminary rounds of the competition took place last week.
The semi-finals and final will take place at Lennoxtown this week, on May 24.
The schools' competing in this year's finals are: Holyrood Secondary, Lourdes Secondary, St Andrews Secondary, and Our Lady's High School, Motherwell.
Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We are delighted once again to host this fantastic event, one which we are sure will become a real fixture in the calendar.
"I know how important school football was to the Lions and I am sure that the young people taking part in this year’s event will again be inspired by their achievements and all they did for Scottish football.”

Mr Downie said: "To have had the support from Celtic to make this idea a reality and to now see it become an annual event is fantastic.
"Our school motto, Spero Meliora - I hope for better things, is always at the forefront of what we do as a school, and when it comes to Scottish football I think we all hope for better things at times, so it is brilliant to see Celtic play such an active role in supporting schools' football and providing such a great opportunity for young people from across Glasgow and the West.
"Hopefully some of these youngsters will go on and do great things in the future, just like the Lions did in '67."
George Mackie, President of the Glasgow Schools Football Association, said: “We are delighted to be working with Celtic again on this exciting tournament which honours the wonderful achievements of the great Lisbon Lions and provides another great platform for schools football."
