Experts from a wide range of organisations will be on hand to give advice and answer any questions that people may have.

Glasgow North West Citizens Advice Bureau, Home Energy Scotland, Warm Works, SSE Energy, Age Scotland, Scottish Power will have representatives at the free and informal event.

Community Safety Glasgow, Queens Cross Housing Association, Housing Options Scotland and One Parent Families Scotland will also be present.

Free tea and coffee will be available.

Patrick said: “This winter surgery is a great chance to get more information and advice about what support there is this during these colder months and an opportunity to speak to organisations and experts directly.

"We all know the winter months can be difficult and it’s important that constituents know where to access support if needed and get help with any issues they may be having.”

Sandra said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces to this event, and hope that people find the information on offer useful.

"Having spoken with local groups and individuals I am well aware that navigating the challenges associated with the winter months appears to be increasingly difficult, year on year.

"As such I believe this event, with the expertise on offer, could be of huge benefit to our attendees.

"With the winter weather here it’s also a great opportunity to meet fellow local residents over a cup of tea, a biscuit and a blether.”

The special winter surgery will be open to all local residents in Glasgow North and Glasgow Kelvin from 10:00 – 14:00 on Friday December 7.
