Hundreds of people are expected to gather at events in the West End to celebrate the life of MP Jo Cox.
Jo was killed on the streets of Batley, West Yorkshire, last June as she campaigned just days before the Brexit vote.
Rightwing extremist Thomas Mair, originally from Scotland, was sentenced to life for her murder last November.
Jo had a husband and two young children.
Communities around the UK are coming together this weekend to remember her life and celebrate unity.
The events in Glasgow are both taking place in the West End under the auspices of the West End Festival.
Jo's family have organised the activities under the banner - The Great Get Together.
A post on the event's website says: "The Great Get Together is inspired by Jo Cox, who was killed on 16 June last year.
"We believe there is a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us.
"This is our chance.
"As the prime minister said, when she remarked on Jo’s death in her New Year’s message: 2017 represents an opportunity to move forward and “bring this country together, as never before”.
"Jo’s family and friends came up with the initiative, and The Big Lunch have teamed up with us to move their annual celebration.
"More than one hundred organisations are now supporting us, see our partners page for the full list!
"This weekend is inspired by Jo Cox, but we expect people to take part for many different reasons."
The first Glasgow event takes place in Mansfield Park in Partick on Saturday June 17 from midday.
People are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy a wide range of entertainment including music, dance, face-painting, balloon artistry and much more.
The Woodlands Big Lunch, the second event, is on Sunday at Woodlands Community Garden.
Thomas Mair repeatedly shot and stabbed Jo in an attack during the EU referendum campaign.
While attacking her he was saying: “This is for Britain”, “keep Britain independent”, and “Britain first”, his trial heard.
