The entrepreneur behind Pianola and Kothel has plans for another dining venture on Crow Road.
Ed Avdiasi has submitted proposals for a restaurant-delicatessen at No 348.
The prominent corner site at Woodcroft Avenue was previously occupied by Therapy Hair & Spa.
Papers submitted to the city's planning committee include elevations and location plans.
They also include a list of the 40 or so neighbours who are being advised of the proposals.
The drawings suggest the new premises will be called 'Marlborough' - a possible reference to nearby Marlborough Avenue.
'Delicatessen counter'
Drawings show how the unit would have a delicatessen counter to the right of the premises, coming in from Crow Road.
The restaurant would occupy the corner and central area of the premises.
Plans include outside seating looking out on to Crow Road.
Kothel opened on Crow Road five years ago or so.
Pianola opened two years ago at the corner of Crow Road and Clarence Drive.
The Italian restaurant's traditional frontage and interior has been well received by local diners.
Its style and attention to detail may be a hint of what Marlborough has to offer.
Ed says on the Pianola website: “I want Pianola to be friendly, I want it to be independent.
"I don’t want our place to have a chain feel.
"I want to feel that this is everybody’s home, it’s their area – it’s their place.”
Broomhill is not the only focus for Ed's attention.
Outside tables
The same planning papers just published include plans for a second Kothel cafe in the West End.
A premises at 536 Great Western Road is currently being kitted out.
The plans again include site drawings and elevations relating to signage and seating.
Five outside tables would sit under several canopy awnings on both frontages of the corner premises.
The businessman opened a Kothel cafe in Bearsden last year.
That venue on Drymen Road includes a roof-top terrace for diners.
