A popular West End health club has invested £60,000 in new gym equipment.
Western Health & Racquets Club in Hyndland has overseen a complete overhaul of its cardiovascular studio.
The spend follows a five-figure investment in the Hyndland Road club's outdoor tennis courts last year.
Club manager Ian Campbell said it was important for Western to move forward and reach out to new members.
"We want to keep the quality of the experience high by making sure we have the very best facilities.
"The gym and health club sector is fiercely competitive and no one can afford to stand still.

The Western is established as a successful tennis centre thanks to the efforts of Ian and his team of coaches and volunteers.
Exercise classes have also been boosted with the addition of Spinning classes courtesy of Boiler Room Fitness.
Meanwhile, the club regular hosts local schools to coach pupils in tennis and squash.
As well as sport facilities, Western has seen the addition of an adjoining restaurant, Caffe Parma.
Ian says: "We like to think of ourselves as a friendly, welcoming club.
"Some of the bigger gyms lack the personal touch which we can offer.
"There is a special kind of community among our members which you don't get at other gyms.
"The new equipment ensures that our members can enjoy that sense of community while training on some of the latest equipment on the market."
In recent years, the club has staged the popular Rally For Bally charity event to raise money for good causes.
The tournament is in memory of the former Scottish tennis star Elena Baltacha who died of liver cancer in 2014.
Tennis coach and celebrity mum Judy Murray was a special guest last summer when the event raised £19,000.
