Glasgow’s biggest winter village opens on November 24

Street food vendors, drinks, live music, and festive party night feature

Cranside Kitchen's Winter Village returns later this month as a Scandic-inspired winter experience.

The outdoor space on Tunnel Street in Finnieston was born out of the lockdowns of the pandemic.

Its latest incarnation will open on Thursday November 24 and run through to New Year’s Eve.

Independent street food vendors, drinks, live music, a comedy club and festive party night will all feature.

Guests are promised a strong dose of hygge high, with festive garlands and frost-effect foliage, fairy lights, mini Scandi-style decorated Christmas trees.

And heater stands will be on hand to keep guests warm.

If you’re not quite brave enough to brace the cold, the Hygge Lounge offers an enclosed space and a cosy atmosphere, fully undercover for a sheltered night out with heaters and blankets to keep you snug

Foodies can enjoy a choice of up to seven restaurants available on the Cranside app including Romanos, Halloumi, and asian street food brand XI'AN.

Two new festive inspired food market stalls offering Hog Roasts every weekend are Bratwurst and Gluhwein.

A press release says: “Fear not, the snow, the wind or the rain won’t stop you from enjoying a night (or day) out at the Cranside Winter Village.

“If you’re not quite brave enough to brace the cold, the Hygge Lounge offers an enclosed space and a cosy atmosphere, fully undercover for a sheltered night out with heaters and blankets to keep you snug - because why should the typical Scottish weather stop you from enjoying a great Christmas night out.
