Glasgow’s Ukrainian community is inviting everyone to celebrate unity and friendship at a family day in Victoria Park.
The Ukrainian Family Day in the Park will feature sport, games, food and fun.
The event - taking place Sunday August 20, noon to 4pm - has been organised by the Glasgow branch of The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain in collaboration with Friends of Victoria Park Glasgow.
A press release says: “From thrilling games for children to engaging football, tennis, netball and rugby sessions, the event promises a diverse range of options to keep attendees entertained.
“The spacious park grounds will also provide the perfect setting for picnics, so families are encouraged to bring their baskets filled with delicious treats and relish a delightful day outdoors.
“With ample opportunities for both relaxation and active participation, the event embodies the spirit of unity and togetherness.”
Yevgen Gorash, Chairman of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain - Glasgow Branch, said: “We are excited to create a memorable day where families can come together, enjoy a variety of activities, and make cherished memories.

Organisers say the event is open to everyone, regardless of age or background.
